Some MRT services were suspended after a fire caused by a short-circuit on the railway line between Bangkok's Tao Poon and Bang O stations on Sunday afternoon.

A fire was reported on the overhead electric railway tracks near Tao Poon station in  Bangkok's Bang Sue district about 12.20pm on Pracharat Sai 2 Road, in front of the Chewathai condominium building in Bang Sue district.

Bang O Fire and Rescue units were deployed to the scene about 12.32pm. They found an electrical short circuit involving cables on the railway track. Flames were still visible as they worked to bring the situation under control.
