1. What KHAO Owns

The following elements of KHAO are original works protected by copyright and owned exclusively by KHAO:

  • Importance scoring — the algorithm, weights, and output scores assigned to stories
  • Cluster logic — the methodology for grouping related stories into topics
  • Digest format — the structure, layout, and presentation of daily .md digests
  • Insight editorial text — original summaries, watchlists, and analysis written or generated by KHAO
  • Visual design — the KHAO interface, typography system, logo, and brand assets

All rights reserved. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of KHAO's original work requires prior written permission.

2. Third-Party Content

Headlines, article summaries, and excerpts aggregated from third-party publications remain the intellectual property of their respective authors and publishers. KHAO presents this content under fair use / fair dealing principles: we display brief excerpts for the purpose of news commentary, reference, and information aggregation, and always link back to the original source.

KHAO does not claim ownership of any third-party content. If you are a publisher and believe your content is being used improperly, see Section 4 below.

3. Permitted Use of KHAO Content

You may, without permission:

  • Share links to KHAO pages for non-commercial purposes
  • Quote brief excerpts from KHAO's original Insight text with clear attribution to KHAO and a link to the source page
  • Download and use daily .md digest files for personal, research, or non-commercial AI development, subject to the Bot Policy

You may not, without written permission:

  • Mirror or republish KHAO pages or digest files on another domain
  • Use KHAO's scoring data or digest format as a commercial product or service
  • Remove attribution or present KHAO's original work as your own
  • Use KHAO content for training commercial AI models at scale

4. Takedown Requests

If you are a rights holder and believe KHAO is displaying your content in a way that exceeds fair use, we will respond promptly to valid takedown requests. Submit your request to [email protected] with the following information:

1. Your name and contact information
2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
3. The specific URL(s) on KHAO where the allegedly infringing content appears
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised
5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder
6. Your physical or electronic signature

We aim to acknowledge takedown requests within 2 business days and resolve valid requests within 10 business days. KHAO complies with the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the EU Copyright Directive, and equivalent international frameworks.

5. Counter-Notices

If content you submitted to KHAO (if applicable) was removed in response to a takedown notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notice to [email protected] with the information required under applicable law.

6. Repeat Infringers

KHAO maintains a policy of terminating access for parties found to repeatedly infringe third-party copyright.
