On Sept. 23 and 24, 2026, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) convened a two-day meeting of the National Construction Safety Team (NCST) Advisory Committee. The presentations highlighted the importance of NIST applying its own expertise and the expertise of others through collaborations and contracts, as well as the extensive data collection, testing, modeling and more that goes into each investigation.
