Thaifex-Anuga Asia 2026 is expected to generate trade value of more than 130 billion baht this year, reinforcing its role as a leading international food trade platform while supporting Thailand's ambition to become a global food trading hub.

Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, director-general of the Department of International Trade Promotion, said rising costs have compelled entrepreneurs to strengthen risk management strategies and seek new sources of raw materials, while food security has become an increasingly important priority for many countries amid growing demand for a wider variety of food products.

As global trade becomes more complex, Thaifex-Anuga Asia showcases the capabilities of Thai entrepreneurs, drives the country's exports, and creates new business opportunities for businesses of all sizes, she said.

The theme of this year's event is "Bigger - Better - Bolder", featuring nearly 3,600 exhibitors across more than 6,700 booths from 56 countries and regions.

The fair is expected to attract more than 90,000 visitors from 130 countries, with projected trade orders exceeding 130 billion baht.

The additional exhibition space accommodates a wider range of products and innovations across nine sectors: drinks, fine food, food technology, frozen food, fruit and vegetables, meat, rice, seafood, and sweets and confectionery.

Each sector features a diverse range of offerings, including consumer products, halal food, organic products, health food, specialised nutrition, future food, and sustainable food innovations.

In addition to food, beverages and food technology, visitors can explore a wide range of engaging activities and special showcases.

One highlight is the Thai fruit exhibition, which showcases innovative ways to enjoy Thai fruit in both fresh and processed forms.

The fair is organised at Impact Muang Thong Thani, open to the trade segment from May 26-29. The fair is open to the public on May 30.
